MockTales Cosplay Party


Greetings MockTales Fans!

September 24th, 2011, is the Jet City Comic Book Show. Seattle's great new one day Comic Book Convention, now on their 2nd year. And after the show closes up, why not head out to the MockTales Cosplay Party at the AFK Tavern.

Starting at 9pm, Greg Scott Bailey and the MockTales crew are going to be celebrating the completion of the first Concept Art Book - MockTales: Project Molten, giving readers a glimpse of the MockTales Nexus Earth Universe.

While you're not required to be in costume to have an amazing time at the AFK, We will be handing out prizes to three lucky Costumed individuals at 11pm - which include the following:

-1st Place - An Original Art piece by Greg Scott Bailey, Prints and a free copy of MockTales: Project Molten (*shipping late October, 2011)

-2nd Place - Prints and a free copy of MockTales: Project Molten. (*shipping late October)

-3rd Place - Free copy of MockTales: Project Molten (*shipping late October)

The AFK Tavern is a Bar and Grill that is set up so that most ages can attend, but those who are 21+ can also sit in the bar area for drinks. Feel free to invite anyone out for the fun and excitement.

This is a good excuse to get into costume. But come on... do we really need an excuse to get into costume and have fun?

(cancelled) Official Kickstarter - MockTales: Project Molten

Hey Everybody! - MockTales: Project Molten has moved into funding status. I have started a Kickstarter project to help build the funds we need for the first print run. We are looking to raise $1500 in 25 days. I'm confident we can do it!

The project is built with incentives for your pledge/donation. Click on the Kickstarter banner above or head to the following link to check out the rewards list and make your choice. Click Here. Like I remind everyone, even a $1 can help. You don't pay until the end of the donation period. So by September 9th if you have a few extra dollars laying around, send them my way and help get this book funded.

MockTales: Project Molten has been moved up to an 80 page book. (Up from 60 pages). This is going to be a fun project to complete over the next few weeks and I can't wait to start sharing with everyone.

More Changes on the Way!
So this is a reminder to all members (all 21 of you) that some more changes are ont he way. Site-specific artwork and information will be posted soon and I will be looking to post MockTales information on MockTales.com first and foremost, and then show brief updates on Deviant Art and other networking sites. I would like to make MockTales.com the one-stop-shop for all information on MockTales.

Additionally, if you haven't already checked it out, head to the MockTales Wiki page to read up on the characters and information in the Nexus Earth Universe. I will be back on track adding more information there starting with today.

MockTales News and Updates
Update: 06/29/2011: Additional site template change. And a reminder to all visitors; sign-up is free and members will get regular email updates and information sent out. We will be campaigning to get more people signed up all summer long, so help us spread the word and get more people on the site!

Greg announced recently on his blog the first book we will be releasing; MockTales: Project Molten. To follow Greg's updates, head to gregscottbailey.blogspot.com



Welcome everyone to the new MockTales.com! We've recently updated the website to the new e107 template. This unfortunately wiped out previous members of the website and Users will have to create a new account. As we move into production development of MockTales: The Adventures of Tim Garn, we will be putting more and more up on the website as it becomes available.

New Additions: We are now using Wikia.com for our MockTales Wiki (formerly known as Mock-Pedia). Head to the link in the menu to see the start of character pages, locations and objects in the MockTales; Nexus Earth Comic Universe. This Wiki will be updated weekly to give everyone as much info as possible so you can start getting to know the world we are creating.

Conventions: Recently, the creator Greg Scott Bailey was at Emerald City Comic Con 2011. (March 4th - 6th). C2E2 visit in Chicago was cancelled due to funding. The next stop on the convention list is Spokane Comic Con, May 21st 2011. After that, the only show scheduled for Greg is Jet City Comic show, September of 2011.
